Music Technology Equipment

We have actively been involved in recording studio design since 1989. Our clients
include high profile musicians, songwriters and music publishers.

The interest today in music technology equipment, encompassing all levels from Key Stage 3 to
university degree, provides many opportunities. In the academic year 2001/2002
approximately 650 students nationwide opted to take music technology at AS an A2 level. In
2006/2007 the figure had risen to over 12,000. Servicing this demand creates a unique
challenge for learning centres in view of the wide range of skills required.

We at Old Barn Audio fully recognise this and can offer a complete education solution which
ensures reliability, performance and most importantly – results. Our total package includes
design, supply, installation and ongoing training on a contract basis. We have many
successful music technology installations in use today and in 2005 ‘Oakwood Park
Grammar School’, one of our existing customers, received an award for achieving the best
‘A’ level results in music technology.

The design of a working recording studio and the installation of the music technology equipment requires
specialist skills. Robust design and specification is paramount, befitting any education
establishment. Costs may well be less than anticipated and the space required can be
modest. The benefits to the venue, however, can be very substantial in the increasingly
competitive environment of our education infrastructure.
