The perfect vocal sound
Adding reverb to vocals is a trick that has been around for years. Even with the vast array of reverb types available today sometimes you can't quite get the right sound. Try compressing the reverb with the vocal rather than adding reverb to the already compressed vocal. The effect is stunning. The voice will sound out front but still wet and might just be the effect you are looking for.
Need more volume from your Electro Acoustic Guitar
If you own an inexpensive electro acoustic guitar that is very quiet when plugged into an amplifier try plugging the guitar into a low cost DI box before plugging into the amplifier. The extra level achieved will offer a much improved signal to noise ratio and dramatically clean up the sound.
