3 Monkeys Bar in Skegness - Old Barn Audio

The stunning live music and event venue, 3 Monkeys Bar in Skegness, is the latest creation from our repeat customer, Henry Harris.

Henry came back to Old Barn Audio after we supplied two of his other venues. The project design was complex due to the dome shaped ceiling. In order to achieve a powerful system for live music we opted to use a combination of Martin Audio VDQ, CDD series and SX118 subwoofers. The main stage area is supplied by a pair of VDQ speakers. Under the stage three SX118 subs were installed in a broadside array.

A combination of CDD 8 and CDD 6 speakers were installed to cover the periphery seating and games/outdoor areas, to provide high quality sound reinforcement around the entire venue.

Governing the audio processing and control is a symetrix solus processor, featuring one of the new W3 wall panels allowing the bar staff to control the source and volume when not in performance mode. For a system of this size and power, we opted to use a combination of Powersoft K3 and Crown XLS amplifiers.

It is always great fun for us to install a system of this size, but the way that Henry decorates his venues makes them a true pleasure to work in.
