New Sound System for Port Lympne
Old Barn Audio love a new project to work on. And they have worked in many unusual locations. So when they were asked to install a new sound system for Port Lympne they were only to keen to help out.
Port Lympne has grown out of all recognition over the years. They are keen to stress that it is not a zoo. They are dedicated to conservation, providing world class care for their animals and providing a great day out for visitors. They work closely with their sister park Howletts and The Aspinall Foundation to send the animals Back To The Wild to reintroduce endangered species to their real home.
The foundation offers many unusual ways to stay at Port Lympne, which are all very exciting and ensure their customers get the best views possible of the animals. As well as these offers and days spent at the park, Port Lympne also offers sections of the venue for private hire as well as for weddings.
With lots of parking and easy access, these events are proving in great demand, so they are gradually expanded the options in this genre of the business. Old Barn Audio were invited in to install a sound system in to the Moroccan style Quadrangle, which is a new area being currently built for weddings and private parties. With Italian marble, columns and a stunning setting, this is sure to be a winner for them as well as anyone who gets to enjoy the venue. OBA installed 6 outside weather resistant speakers, along with an amplifier, media player and zonal controls.
The client specification was that the sound would be totally ambient, with no direct noise anywhere. So unusually, but totally effectively, OBA pointed all the speakers towards the walls, ensuring that all noise would bounce off everywhere, giving a really subtle sound.
An interesting job for Old Barn Audio – what a shame they couldn’t spend any time enjoying the animals!
