Sound Installation for Boadicea Bar and Restaurant
Old Barn audio have just completed a sound installation for Boadicea bar and restaurant. Boadicea in Colchester, Essex is a great new private hire club offering a top class dining experience. A stunning and historical venue which has been totally refurbished to create a spectacular Essex venue.
Old Barn Audio were asked to install an effective sound system to fulfill the needs of this busy venue. Including the restaurant, dancefloor, mezzanine and outside patio area. Boadicea work a lot on their private hire for conferences and exhibitions as well as private functions including receptions, gala dinners and parties.
The install included the following products from Martin Audio and Crown:
- 4 x Martin Audio CDD10 for the dancefloor
- 2 x Martin Audio CSX118
- 4 x Martin Audio CDD8 speakers, 2 for the restaurant and two for the mezzanine
- 2 x Martin Audio CDD5-WR speakers for the patio area
- 2 x Crown XLS 2502 amplifiers
- 2 x Crown XLS 1502 amplifiers
- 1 x BSS Blu100 Processor
- 1 x BSS Blu10 Wall Panel
The main bar and downstairs restaurant is a full Martin Audio system that will satisfy low volume background music, yet supply live venue and club levels when desired. The video system will supply HD quality to both screens and be linked to the screens and the BT supply box. The audio from the BT box will be linked to the sound system.
When a sports event is being shown the commentary can be sent to any zone. However should Boadicea wish to send back ground music to the restaurant / outdoor areas at the same time, then they are able to.
The BLU100 digital controller with a wall panel are are industry standard high quality system controllers that will govern all zones accurately and accept a large number of feeds. The wall panel will allow simple and quick access to all zone volume controls and all source routing. The wall panel was mounted in a place of their choice, so at the touch of a button they can now select iPod or BT box or DJ or live band to any or all zones.
