Sutton Christian Centre Receives An Upgrade from Old Barn Audio, for sound as well as video.

Having viewed the room and discussed with them how the centre is developing Old Barn Audio were in no doubt that an audio line array solution will fulfill all needs for both immediate and longer term use.

Line array is the principle of stacking cabinets one on top of the other and flying them above the audience. The compact cabinet designs, power and sonic dispersion characteristics of these systems is perfect for a variety of uses and ideal in rooms where a linear audio experience for all is crucial.

• 2 x flying yokes for above
• 2 x 118 sub-bass cabinets
• 1 x Martin Audio DX0.5 system controller
• 1 x Crown XLS 1502 power amplifier (HF)
• 1 x Powersoft M30D power amplifier (MF)
• 1 x Powersoft M30D power amplifier (LF)
• 1 x Soundcraft 32-channel digital console + flight case
• 1 x 32 / 16 digital stagebox
• 1 x 10M – 8 way multi-core satellite cable on drum
• 2 x fabricated “L” brackets for single point hanging of W8VDQ

Video Installation

The obvious choice is large flat screen or projector. There are other options such as video walls, which look stunning but they can be pricey and extremely bright as they are designed to be used in high light environments such as outdoors in sunlight. For this project, we recommended either projector or large flat screen. Both are a similar price but the flat screens would be more future proof. All large screens now are 4K resolution which is beyond what projectors can display plus the screens have SMART technology so are internet enabled.

The main pair of large flatscreens that have been selected are now ceiling mounted so the wall/stage curtains can pass behind.

• 1 x HD bullet camera with zoom and fixing bracket
• 1 x 100 metre reel Cat6 cable
• 1 x Lockable cabinet to house all video electronics
