Hertfordshire & Essex School To Have A New Sound System

Old Barn Audio have just signed a deal with the Hertfordshire & Essex High School and Science College to have a quality new sound system. This is a very exciting project for Old Barn as this Bishops Stortford school is growing at a fast rate. They need a new system that will be suitably effective for their growing needs. Certain sections of the sporting facilities will become open at weekends and this school has obviously taken a lot of time and thought in creating something spectacular for both pupils and public alike.

From May 2019, there will be a 4 court badminton sports hall and a dojo. From September 2019 a 2G all weather pitch and 6 tennis/netball courts – all for hire. As well as this, a dance studio and swimming pool are already available to hire.

There are five areas where the new sound and video systems will be installed.

Gymnasium

This new standalone system will serve only the large fully fitted gym. Two powerful Martin Audio 10″ cabinets will be installed, along with a 15″ sub bass speaker, central to the wall mounted speakers.

Judo Hall

4 x Martin Audio speakers will face backwards to the raked seating, along with a handheld microphone and Crown amplifiers.

Sports Hall

This area is very ambient so pointing speakers downwards is the ideal solution. For dance classes requiring music with as little ambient reverberation as possible the more speakers employed, the better the results will be.

We have specified 8 Martin Audio CDD10 speakers which will provide sufficient power and dispersion to cover the whole floor area, along with Crown amplifiers.

Reception & Corridor

A small distributed system will be installed, using ceiling speakers and a small amplifier with an input for music and a microphone if required.

The Bar

This large space will be available at weekends, as much of the other sporting facilities will indeed be. This will be a much more social space, with an 82″ screen being installed, along with a pair of Martin audio speakers and a sub bass unit.
