New Church Sound Installation Has Just Been Agreed
A new church sound installation has just been agreed with Old Barn Audio. An extremely welcoming church in South London likes the look and ethos of Old Barn Audio and has agreed to have a Martin Audio and Powersoft installation to give them exceptional sound within their church.
Having viewed the room and discussed with the church how the centre is developing, we were in no doubt that an audio line array solution would fulfil all needs for both immediate and longer term use.
Line array is the principle of stacking cabinets one on top of the other and flying them above the audience or congregation. The compact cabinet designs, power and sonic dispersion characteristics of these systems is perfect for a variety of uses and ideal in rooms where a linear audio experience for all is crucial.
Neil visited this church, had a great discussion with them and then plotted the room to establish how many cabinets would be required and where they will be positioned for best results. The sound will be exceptional and the system we proposed would be very simple to operate.
The Soundcraft digital mixer is an exceptional piece of equipment with a host of on board features and tools. The mixer can be networked and operated remotely via an ipad, thanks to an intuitive free download app. Many settings can be stored and recalled instantly, which is ideal for the variety of uses that a church system would need to have.
Video
The obvious choice is large flat screen or projector for a church of this size, to give the congregation the best visibility. There are other options such as video walls, which look stunning but they can be pricey and extremely bright as they are designed to be used in high light environments such as outdoors in sunlight. Flat screens are more future proof as well: all large screens are 4K resolution which is beyond what projectors can display, plus the screens have SMART technology so are internet enabled, which is an excellent benefit.
A very high quality video system can be installed, which would be a pair of large flat screens with a monitor or a high-power projector plus monitor with mounting hardware, a large electric screen – typically 3M x 2M and mains infrastructure install in the ceiling as required.
