St John’s Church, Dormansland

We are pleased to be starting this new and large project at St John’s The Evangelist Church in Dormansland. A full audio system and video system, in the Centenary room as well as the church.

In total, we will be installing:

Audio System

  • 1 x 500 sq. metre induction loop amplifier
  • 60 metres induction loop cable
  • 4 x Martin Audio CDD5 TX speakers in black (Nave)
  • 2 x Martin Audio CDD5 TX speakers in white (Chancel)
  • 1 x Short reach gooseneck microphones (lectern)
  • 1 x 240 watt 100-volt line power amplifier
  • 2 x local volume controls (Nave / chancel)
  • 1 x Midas 12 wi-fi audio mixer
  • 1 x 300 MBS wi-fi router
  • 4 x UHF radio systems with lapel microphones
  • 1 x UHF radio system with hand held microphone

The two existing black speakers mounted at height covering the centre Nave will be retained. All components shown above are high quality branded goods that have proven overtime to be reliable, robust and easy to operate.

Video System – Centenary Room

  • 1 x 58”/ 60” flat screen SMART TV
  • 1 x wall mount motion bracket for above
  • 1 x video input wall plate (DVD / laptop etc.)

The centenary room screen is a 58” / 60” model. The church would like to ensure they have the largest screen available for their budget, to give the parishioners the best possible experience.

Additions

  • 1 x Professional CD / media player
  • 1 x Apple iPad

Video System – Church

The PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) camera will be operated wirelessly using an app via the network we will install. Specific positions as desired will be programmed and activated via a mobile device. The projector cylinder will now be installed to the rear of the Chancel arch.

Video Components.

  • 1 x 4800 lumens Panasonic projector with offset facility
  • 1 x remote controlled 3M x 2.5M projector screen with winch
  • 1 x video connection plate for laptop / DVD / camera / audio etc.
  • 2 x 32” HD screens (chancel)
  • 2 x 32” HD screens (aisles)
  • 1 x 32” HD screen facing the pulpit
  • 1 x 2-way HDMI splitter for above
  • 5 x full motion brackets for 32” screens
  • 1 x 4 in 2 out HDMI video switcher
  • 5 x HDMI over CAT6 baluns (send / receive)

Video Camera

The position for the PTZ camera will be mounted at height and set to cover the chancel, pulpit, lectern and font. If a camera is required for security, the door must be covered by a fixed camera and a DVR (not included) added to record images. We have omitted the joystick controller as the camera is to be positioned wirelessly.
